Scholarship Policy
Objectives:
The Scholarship Policy of the Universal Skill Tech University (USTU) outlines the guidelines and principles for awarding scholarships to deserving students pursuing education within the university. The policy aims to promote academic excellence, encourage talent, and foster an equal opportunities environment for students willing to build careers in the educational sphere.
Purpose:
The purpose of the Scholarship Policy is to support and recognize outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements, institutional loyalty, Social responsibility. By offering scholarships, USTU aims to make quality education accessible to deserving students, thus contributing to the development of future leaders in the public sector.
Applicability:
This policy is applicable to students enrolling in programs offered by USTU in the Academic Year 2025-2026. The scholarships provided under this policy are solely for students pursuing studies within the university and are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy
Application Process:
The candidates are supposed to fill in the application form online based on the eligibility criteria with the necessary documents mentioned by the University within the specified deadline. The University will require physical copies of the necessary documents for verification. The candidates must carry the originals during the verification process.

Chairperson Pro Vice Chancellor,
Member Registrar,
Member Secretary Dean of a School recommended by the Vice Chancellor, Member.
Senior faculty recommended by the Vice Chancellor, Member.
• The Scholarship Committee will be responsible for evaluating all the scholarship applications and selecting deserving candidates and ensuring transparency in the entire process.
• Member composition of the committee will be finalized by the Member Secretary in consultation with the university management.

● S.M. Lall Top 20 Scholarship Students securing a Top 20 rank in Std. 12 from any recognized boards are eligible for a 100% scholarship on Tuition fees to pursue careers in Technology / Management. Only 5 scholarships are available for the brightest minds.
● Neelam Sudhir Lall Linguistic Minority Girls Scholarship: Female students from the Gujarati Minority Community with more than 80% in Std.12 are eligible for 100% Scholarship on Tuition Fees to pursue careers in Technology / Management.
● Neelam Sudhir Lall Women Scholarship : This scholarship empowers female students to pursue careers in Technology / Management by offering a 50% scholarship on Tuition Fees.
Scholarship Eligibility:
Scholarships offered in the first year are not automatically available in subsequent years. Students must achieve a GPA of 8.5/10 and have a minimum attendance of 75% to continue to avail of scholarships in subsequent years.
Scholarship Award Process:
All scholarships will be awarded based on merit and based on the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University. The applicants must provide valid marksheets (Merit Scholarship), Defense card of the parents (Defense concession), and others as applicable on a case-to-case basis.

Step 2: Online Interview (Optional – wherever required)
Step 3: Final selection based on assessment in Step 1 and 2, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria
Terms & Conditions:
● The specific details and provisions of the Scholarship Policy, including the types of scholarships available, eligibility criteria, application process, award of scholarships, and any additional requirements, will be defined and communicated by the Scholarship Committee of the Universal Skill Tech University, and will be subject to periodic review and updates, as deemed necessary by the management.
● A student can apply for a scholarship only in one category in an academic year.
● This scholarship is applicable towards Tuition Fees only.
● Scholarships may be awarded on a one-time basis or renewable for subsequent academic years, subject to the recipients' continued eligibility and compliance with the scholarship terms. To maintain their scholarships, students must meet the academic performance standards and adhere to the code of conduct set forth by the University. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the suspension or revocation of the scholarship.
● The Scholarship Policy may be subject to periodic reviews and updates, as deemed necessary by the authorities of the university. Any modifications to the policy will be communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
