Background of the Sponsoring Body
Inception: The Sponsoring Body, Vidya Vikas Education Trust, Mumbai is a Charitable Trust with 26 Campuses, 10 International Schools and 5 IB Schools registered under Mumbai Public Charitable Trust Act of 1950.
Area of work: The Sponsoring Body, Vidya Vikas Education Trust which has its headquarters in Filka Building, Off. Station Road, Daftary Road, Malad East, Mumbai 400097 has established the Universal SkillTech University at Universal Educational Complex, Part B 148, Kaman Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Palghar 401208.
The main objective of establishing a new age self-financed skills university is to create highly skilled entrepreneurs and job creators, globally employable youth, and to promote training, counselling, apprenticeship, on-job training and placements in an integrated manner with industry and related areas.

R. K. Lawande (Bhushan)
Executive Vice President
R. K. Lawande (Bhushan) is a veteran with 35+ years in business consulting, specialising in capability building, corporate training, and industry-academia integration. He set up learning academies across 9 industries, pioneered barcoding in Indian retail, advanced satellite education, and led major training initiatives for top brands including Airtel, Vodafone, HUL, and PepsiCo.
Dr. R. Kamatchi
Pro-Vice Chancellor
Dr. R. Kamatchi has 25 years of academic leadership, 95 journal publications, 7 books, and 60+ conference papers. An IRCA-certified lead auditor, she has guided multiple PhD scholars, served on boards of reputed universities, reviewed for leading journals, and delivered keynotes at major national and international conferences.

Our Organisational Structure
The organizational structure of the University has been kept lean to allow the system to function in a dynamic manner. This will also facilitate faster decision making and implementation to remain academically relevant all the time allowing gainful employment opportunities for the students.
Officers of the University shall include the President, the Executive Vice President, the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the Deans, the Registrar, the Chief Finance and Accounts Officer, the Director of Assessment and Evaluation, the Director of Knowledge Resource Centre, the Director of Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship, the Director of Student Counselling and Admissions, the Director of Training, Development and Placement and the Law Officer.
Authorities of the University shall include the Board of Management, the Academic Council, the Board of Deans, the School Council/Board of Studies and the Board of Assessment and Evaluation
The roles and responsibilities of the officers and the authorities shall be as described in the Act, Statutes and ordinances from time to time.
